SHDS Summer Study Scholarship

We are awarding 2 scholarships this year to dancers who are eager to continue their dance education and training over the summer of 2024. We will be offering 1 scholarship of $120.00 to attend our 2024 SHDS Summer Dance Intensive, and 1 scholarship of $250.00 to attend a camp, intensive, workshop, experience outside of our SHDS community. Deadline is May 15, 2024.

Requirements: Must be an active SHDS Dancer, Age of 3-12th grade, Essay, and Video.

ESSAY TOPIC

Please briefly describe your dance experience and share why you are passionate about the art of dance, how it has impacted your life, and what your future aspirations are as they relate to dance. Please explain what your plans for summer study would include, why you have chosen the program, and why it would benefit you.

500–1,000 words

VIDEO

Please submit a 1 minute and 30 second video showcasing any style of dance that best describes you. We ask that you either choreograph or improv the material. Please do not use recital dances.
