This 45 minute class focuses on the dance aspect of musical theater. Acting and lip-syncing exercises bring out the fun as the dancers learn steps and routines to music from both movie and Broadway musicals. Learning steps from previous dance eras or styles of famous choreographers brings knowledge and history to Musical Theater class. Recital dances usually include prop and set pieces in a mini-musical version. Senior high dancers will be focusing their Musical Theater skills in a Production class that will meet for a few hours on the weekends starting in January rather than meeting on a weekly basis.
